Could you be our next Director of Music?
We are looking for the right musician and organist to be the next choir director at St Michael and All Angels, helping to enhance the church’s worship through the quality of singing and the breadth of repertoire. Could this be you?
Please note: applications are requested before the closing date of Thursday, 9th April 2020.
The choir sings at Sunday morning services and two evensongs per month. With both junior and senior choristers, and all ages represented, it’s a great group to work with. We are committed to developing all our singers, though the RCSM Voice for Life scheme and we have scholarship schemes for both singers and organists.
As well as leading the worship at St Michael’s, the choir has opportunities for multiple cathedral visits during the year, and other events. We also do occasional outreach events such as the half-term singing days for Junior singers, and come-and-sing concerts. More…
If you have the qualities we need to maintain and develop our passion for choral-led worship, we would love to hear from you. Salary is commensurate with RSCM Main Town fee range. (The parish owns family housing which could be made available as part of a package.)
Here’s a short introduction to some of the choir members: meet-the-choir.
