On 27th May, as part of the Global wave of prayer, Thy Kingdom Come, a group of us walked to the churches and finished with lunch. We began at St Nicolas where we prayed before setting off towards the Stoneham War Shrine. On the way, we paused to pray over the area that will form part of the North Stoneham park development, praying for the residents who will move in to the parish over the next few years. After the war shrine, the walk became less scenic as we walked Chestnut Avenue (the parish boundary) and then turned towards Chilworth. At St Michael’s we were met by a cool drink and some who had gathered there to pray and then we moved on to All Saints where we prayed again before enjoying lunch together.
